All physicians wishing to use the NRDR as a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) to fulfill MIPS reporting requirements must register for the ACR MIPS Participation Portal. Registration must be completed only once for each physician; QCDR participants that completed registration prior to 2021 do not need to re-register.

Note: Interested in registering many physicians at once? Contact the NRDR Help Desk and ask for assistance with Physician Registration for the MIPS portal.

To register for MIPS, start by accessing the MIPS Participation Portal. If this is your first time using the portal, the Register page appears, listing both the ACR’s responsibilities and your responsibilities as a QCDR Participant. Read the entire page carefully and indicate your agreement by clicking on the box to place a check mark next to each responsibility.MIPS Registration - Physician Responsibilities

At the bottom of the page review and verify your name, NPI and e-mail address to confirm registration. MIPS Registration - Verify NPI and Email

Note: A physician e-mail is required for attestation and data submission to CMS.

Click Register to complete the registration process. Physician registration for the portal must be complete before MIPS data files can be uploaded to the MIPS portal. The MIPS Portal homepage appears with summary information describing how the MIPS program works.  To help get you started, at the bottom of the page there are links you can use to review the detailed specifications for MIPS quality measures (as defined by CMS), and QCDR quality measures (as defined by the ACR and approved by CMS).
