Modified on: Mon, 21 Feb, 2022 at 9:18 AM
The DIR Exam Search tool is a useful way to query exams using a variety of criteria.
By selecting the CT Standardized Dose Index report from the Interactive Reports menu, you can access the Exam Search tab to query CT exams and the PET CT Exam Search tab to query PET CT exams.
For either the CT or PET CT search tabs, select at least one Corporate Account and click Apply to retrieve data. By default, the remaining report filters are set to retrieve exams for all facilities for the current month for all RPIDs and scanners.
Use the Facility and Exam Dates From and To filters to define the data returned in both reports. Additional Exam Search report filters are available to refine the data returned in the report for CT Scanners.
Facility lists all facilities associated with the selected corporate account(s)
Use the Exam Dates From and To filters to refine the search time period. By default, the filters are set to query data for the past 30 days.
Query by determines whether the RPID / Study description filter displays standardized RPID exam names or the facility’s Study Descriptions.
Body Part restricts the RPID / Study filter to exams for the specified body part(s).
RPID / Study Description lists the available studies by either RPID or Study Description, as determined by the Query by parameter setting.
The sample CT Exam Search report below shows the exams with Study Dates between Jan. 1 and Feb. 28, 2020, for RPIDs associated with Body Part HEAD. The individual exam data appears in the table on the left side of the screen, with CTDIvol, Size-Specific Dose Estimate (SSDE), and Dose Length Product (DLP) measures for each exam and summary counts by RPID in the bar chart to the right. The File Type pie chart shows the proportions of exams that are from RDSRs and Secondary Capture images. The bar chart to the right of the table summarizes the distribution of exams by RPID / Study Description, with the total number of distinct RPIDs / Study Descriptions listed in the title. Use the Query By parameter to determine whether to show RPIDs or Study Descriptions. Hover over a CTDIvol, SSDE, or DLP measure to display detailed information about the exam.
The sample PET CT Exam Search report below shows the exams with study dates between Jan.1 and June 22, 2020. The individual exam data includes the CTDIvol, Size-Specific Dose Estimate (SSDE), and Dose Length Product (DLP) measures for each exam.
