Discounts

Discounts may be available, e.g. Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence (DICOE) facilities receive DIR and GRID registration at a 15% discount. See DICOE Discounts for Registry Invoicing for more information. The NMD Star Status program offers financial incentives for facilities that meet quality data submission targets. Incentives are applied to NRDR annual fees.

Limited vs. Full Registry Access

Annual participation fees are determined by the number of physical sites and number of contributing physicians. Because DIR and GRID cover an entire practice, participation in these registries provides Full registry access to all other NRDR registries at no additional cost. That is, the number of facilities and contributing physicians is counted once when calculating the fees per the table, above.

If a corporate account has no facilities participating in either DIR or GRID, then they may choose Limited single database access to participate in CTC, LCSR, or NMD. For these registries, the fee is calculated based on the number of physicians performing the activity relevant to the registry, e.g. only physicians performing lung cancer screening exams for LCSR. During the application process fees are calculated and displayed for both Full Registry Access and Limited Single Database Access so that applicants may choose the most cost-effective solution.Fee Option Selection

Note: Full Registry Access is the only fee option available if at least one facility in a corporate account is applying to DIR or GRID.

MIPS Participation Fees

Fees for MIPS reporting are per physician per year, in addition to NRDR registration fees. Each physician is counted once, regardless of whether they are associated with more than one TIN. Consult MIPS Reporting Fees for details.

Payment

Payment is due as part of the application process. Registration and participation fees may be paid by credit card, check or ACH payment

What is a facility in NRDR?

A facility is a physical location where a patient receives an imaging exam. This definition includes hospitals, out-patient clinics, free-standing centers, academic sites or other locations where imaging exams are performed.

How do we register if we practice at many locations?

All participants must create a corporate account where they can receive and pay invoices, receive combined reports across all facilities, coordinate legal agreements, etc. and then complete a facility registration for each physical location

Note: The one-time registration fee of $500 applies only to the corporate account, not to each facility account; however, if you create multiple corporate accounts, you will be charged the one-time fee for each.

To complete the application process in one sitting you should have a list of each of your facilities’ names, addresses, and phone numbers nearby as a quick reference. The facility’s NPI number is needed only if you plan to join the Lung Cancer Screening Registry (LCSR) otherwise it is not needed during the application process. See Items You'll Need to Register for details.

Note: Radiology groups can register and submit data to the NRDR; radiology groups do not have to be the owner of a facility to take part.

Please contact the NRDR Help Desk if you have any questions.
